SAM Magazine—Waterville Valley, N.H., Sept. 15, 2026—Construction is well underway on the new multi-element Outdoor Adventure Zone that will include several new year-round activities in one central hub at Waterville Valley Resort, on the shore of Corcoran Pond near the village’s various lodging properties.

Plans call for an 18-hole mini golf course from Adventure Golf & Sports—which has already been built—plus a reconfigurable adventure maze, a three-tier aerial adventure course, a ground-level adventure course for kids, and a three-story Adventure & Nordic Center. The project is currently targeting a spring 2027 opening.

Waterville’s stated aims for developing the Outdoor Adventure Zone center on expanding year-round activities for families and guests and “to invest in the future of Waterville Valley by creating new opportunities that support our community, local businesses, and year-round tourism.”

The Adventure & Nordic Center will serve as “a year-round home base for recreation in the Valley,” according to the resort. The building will include activity check-in, Nordic and mountain-bike operations, guest services, retail, food and beverage, and additional recreation space, all under one roof.

Outside, the 3,600-square-foot Adventure Maze will stand nearly 12 feet tall with reconfigurable walls that allow for routes to be changed. The three-tier aerial adventure course will be a Sky Trail by RCI Adventure Products with multiple at-height challenges and five “Sky Rails,” which are curved elements that mimic the experience of a zip line. The ground-level course will include small obstacles and elements for younger kids to explore.

The project also supports the Town of Waterville Valley’s master plan for the Corcoran Pond area by expanding family-friendly recreational opportunities while helping strengthen year-round tourism and contributing to the long-term economic vitality of the community.
