Uninterruptible power system
Lortec Power Systems Inc. introduces a new, single phase, uninterruptible power system (UPS) designated as series 100. The series 100 UPS is designed to protect personal computers and LAN networks from power failures and power surges.
The microprocessor includes a high speed RS-232C communications port, programmable input power ranges and is available in ratings of 300, 450, 600, 800 and 1200 VA.

Electronic transaction system
A joint announcement from Ramtrom and Raycom Systems Inc. brings us the the in-charge card. This new type of electronic transaction system makes it possible for money or information to be exchanged without contact based on wireless data transfer via radio waves. With a new type of computer memory, the manufacturer claims that transactions happen without delaying the movement of people or objects.
The in-charge data system works by sending data stored in the memory between the card and a PC based scanning device.
