SAM Magazine - Somerset, Pa., September, 2007 - The Buncher Company has announced that the organization has finalized the purchase of Hidden Valley Four Seasons Resort. The 1,500 acre resort was formerly owned by the Kettler family who has operated the resort since the early 1980's. Terms were not disclosed.

The 1,500-acre ski area features 28 trails, a championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools, hiking and biking trails, retail and dining amenities, and residential development with a variety of lodging. The resort has focused on the Washington, D.C., market and is 200 miles distant from that city.

"We have exciting plans for Hidden Valley," says Bill Doring, Buncher vice president and treasurer. "Our focus today is on the fast approaching winter season; we're moving full steam ahead to ready the resort and slopes."

Doring, an enthusiastic skier himself, says that the ultimate goal is to make Hidden Valley a premier family resort. The mountain is expected to release details of a revised master plan in October and a gated residential golf community is expected to be part of the plans for the resort. Immediate improvements include upgraded snowmaking capacity, base lodge renovations and access road improvements.
