Time is running out to send in nominations for two important industry awards: the SAMMY Leadership Award and the Diversity Leadership Award. Both awards close at the end of this month, March 31st, 2008.

Nominees for the SAMMY Leadership Award can come from both the resort side of the industry and the supplier side. The SAMMYs honor people who, at mid-career, demonstrate the innovation, leadership, dedication, professionalism and creativity to lead this industry into the future and what makes this award truly special is that recipients are chosen by you, their industry peers.

Nominees for the Diversity Leadership Award can be individuals or companies that are proactively targeting and welcoming emerging markets. Says, Publisher, Olivia Rowan, "As we look toward the future, one thing is undeniable--our clients will come from a colorful array of cultural backgrounds. Recent census data shows the dramatic increase in diverse groups with equally diverse backgrounds. Resorts need to be looking to these markets--they are our future."

The winner of the 2008 SAMMY Leadership Awards and the Diversity Leadership Award will be announced in the May issue of SAM and at the national gathering in San Francisco. The SAMMYs are made possible with support from: American Express, Leitner-Poma of America, RSN, and Wells Fargo.
