SAM Magazine-Snowbird, Utah, June 2, 2008-On the heels of an epic winter, it should come as no surprise that Snowbird is adding more days to its season, which is shaping up to be one of the longest in North America. The resort will now stay open through Sunday, June 15, for weekend skiing and riding.

"Consistent snowfall throughout the winter provided plenty of deep powder days and has created an impressive late spring snowpack," said Snowbird president Bob Bonar. "Being able to extend Snowbird's ski and ride season into June is the icing on the cake."

For June 6-8, the Tram and Little Cloud lifts will be open for skiing and riding; Mineral Basin Express will operate if conditions permit. For Father's Day weekend, June 13-15, the Tram and Little Cloud lifts will be open. Lifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and service advanced and expert terrain only. Operations after June 15 will depend on weather and snow conditions. \
