The Treasury Center building in the base area will be redesigned to improve a number of guest services, including rental and retail operations and a ski valet and overnight storage service (free to slopeside hotel guests, for a fee for all others). The former lower-level location of the Crested Butte Ski and Snowboard Shop will become a "Pizza Zone." The Outpost building in the base area will also be re-designed and opened as a day lodge.

The Elevation Hotel & Spa will complete a $25 million remodel including all 260 luxury rooms, 11,000 sq ft. spa and fitness center, slope side sundeck and fire pit and completely new Atmosphere Restaurant & Bar.

On-mountain improvements will include expanded expert terrain in Teocalli bowl and an expanded terrain park system. Snow Igloos will sprout at Kids Base Camp and outside the Ice Bar Restaurant, to serve up adventure play to kids and après ski cocktails to adults. For summer use, CB is expanding mountain bike trails and adding a stage and concert venue at the base of the mountain.

The upgrades are all part of making CBMR more family-friendly, guest-oriented and aesthetically pleasing. "We want to raise the bar again and continue to ensure that we deliver the best overall resort experience for our guests," said owner Tim Mueller. \
