SAM Magazine-Lyndonville, Vt., April 24, 2009-The Resort Industry Leadership Institute (RiLi), created to help resort executives prepare up-and-coming managers in their ranks for future leadership positions, returns to Lyndon State College for its third season June 3-5.

The program consists of several parts. Workshops develop leadership flexibility and adaptation skills and increase workplace productivity through better management of people, information, communication, and technology. A 360 Leadership Assessment provides participants with feedback from their own workplaces in several areas of leadership. This, along with coaching and teambuilding with industry peers, helps to pinpoint leadership strengths and weaknesses, and provide the tools for continued improvement. Keynote speaker Charles Blier,
general manager and executive vice president
of Camelback, Pa., shares his own experiences as a leader in the industry as well.

As part of the program, attendees form teams of 5 to 10 peers and at least one ski industry coach. RiLi's coaches are senior-level resort executives who hail from a variety of roles.Teams meet daily during the Institute to facilitate curriculum discussions and understanding of the Leadership 360 results.
