SAM Magazine-Denver, Dec. 11, 2011-A first-ever winter concert, Winter on the Rocks, will add a new wrinkle to the SIA Snow Show in Denver Jan. 27. Hip-hop dynamo Atmosphere headlines the event, along with actor-rapper Common, Grieves & Budo and Get Cryphy. Local boutique ski manufacturer Icelantic helped bring the show to fruition, along with its neighbor, Denver-based music promoter AEG Live. The trade show itself runs Jan. 26-29.

While promoters have never had the audacity to schedule a winter concert-at night, no less-the influx of SIA showgoers and their assumed indifference to the cold inspired the promoter to put on a show. Tickets for the Jan. 27 concert are $39.50 and on sale via Ticketmaster. \
