"The successful bidder is a local investor who plans to continue operating the facility as a family oriented ski and tubing area. Everyone involved is gratified to know that Alpine Mountain will continue to contribute to the economic and recreational diversity of Monroe County and the surrounding area. We wish the new owners the best in their efforts to improve the facility and expand the services offered at the ski area

"For our part, we appreciate the support and encouragement offered by our many industry associates as the sealed bid process unfolded. We are honored to have been the agent of choice in the sale of Alpine Mountain Ski Area. A valuable economic asset has been perpetuated and a long time member of the ski area industry preserved.

"We look forward to new and expanded ski and resort area partnerships in the future."
