DanHooper LeeCanyonSAM Magazine—Las Vegas, Nev., June 7, 2016 —Dan Hooper has assumed the title of general manager at Powdr Corp-owned Lee Canyon outside of Las Vegas.

A veteran of the industry, Hooper had worked at several ski resorts across the country before landing at Lee Canyon in fall 2011 as director of the Ski & Ride School, guest services, rental, and retail. He subsequently took on food & beverage, summer operations, and IT.

“We couldn't be more excited for Dan and the team at Lee Canyon. His exceptional track record within the industry has primed him for this leadership role to take Lee Canyon to the next level,” said COO/EVP of Powdr Resorts Tim Brennwald.

“Lee Canyon is a very unique and special place with potential for substantial growth. I am excited to take on this new role and to continue working with the great team here as we grow into a four season resort,” said Hooper.

Powdr owns nine resorts: Copper Mountain, Killington Resort, Pico Mountain, Mt. Bachelor, Boreal Mountain Resort, Soda Springs Mountain Resort, Lee Canyon, Gorgoza Park and the recently added Eldora Mountain Resort. The company also owns Woodward camps and progression centers, events company Human Movement Management, and media company Outside Television.
