Monarch Season's Pass Goes Global

SAM Magazine-Monarch, Colo., Sept. 30, 2011-Monarch Mountain season's passes are now valid for skiing on two continents, in four countries, and in six states-at a total of 26 areas, including the latest to join the Monarch fold: Hochfelln, Kampenwand, Wendelstein and Oberaudorf, Germany and Hochkossen, Austria,. The five European ski areas are part of the 5 Berge & Co. resorts. Monarch season passholders have unlimited skiing privileges at all five throughout the 2011-12 season.

Monarch passes are now accepted (typically, for three free days) at nine areas in Colorado, six in New Mexico, and at areas in Utah, Wyoming, California, Michigan, Arizona, British Columbia, Germany and Austria. At a price of $339, the Monarch season's pass may be the biggest value in all of skidom.
