SAM Magazine—Windham, N.Y., Oct. 2, 2023—Today, the Windham Mountain Club, formerly known as Windham Mountain, unveiled its rebranding and capital upgrades for the 2023-24 winter season and beyond.Untitled design 2023 10 02T080023.174 The mountain will continue to be open to the public, with season passes and ticket products available, but will also offer private club memberships that include members-only dining options, activities, and amenities.

“Our goal is to provide the best overall skiing and riding experience in the Northeast,” says Windham Mountain Club president Chip Seamans. “With uncrowded slopes for members and the public, our ski racing and development programs, and extraordinary culinary offerings, we aim to create a remarkable end-to-end experience.”

The rebranding is part of Windham’s first master plan update, announced in July, in which the resort will invest more than $70 million in enhancements over the next several years, including snowmaking and lift upgrades to the East Side Express and additional automated snowmaking with increased efficiency. Automation has been added for this season on Upper Wolverine, Lower Warpath, and Way to Go. In addition, the mountain will open four new restaurants this winter, one exclusive to members.

Seamans said Windham will continue to limit overall capacity to ensure minimal lift lines and uncrowded slopes for members and guests.

As part of the members’ club experience, upgrades to the golf course and renovations to the clubhouse are set to begin in fall 2024. New amenities available to members and lodging guests will include: a luxury spa, gym, and fitness club; an adventure hub offering retail and outdoor activities including fly fishing, horseback riding, and shooting; on-site pools and racquet sports facilities; and an amphitheater for summer concert series.

Existing homeowners in the Windham community will be able to apply for community memberships starting in November.

“We will continue to build on our preexisting members’ club,” said Sandy Beall, chairman of the Windham board of directors. Beall added the enhancements to Windham will introduce hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars into the local economy as it evolves into a four-season destination.

Windham will continue its longstanding partnership with the Adaptive Sports Foundation and aims to increase its contribution to the Windham Foundation, a 501(c)(3) grants-based organization, funding programs in education, recreation, the arts, and community initiatives.
