SAM Magazine-Newry, Me., July 23, 2007-Sunday River and Sugarloaf, Me., will offer a joint season pass next season. The new pass will debut Aug. 15, with prices starting at $299 for restricted mid-week passes and maxing out at $799 for an adult non-restricted pass. The two resorts were recently purchased by Boyne USA from American Skiing Company.

"The Maine Pass is all about value," said John Diller, president and managing director of Sugarloaf/USA. "The Maine Pass offers flexible pricing options, diverse terrain and dependable snowmaking. Since Maine skiing offers less crowds, big mountains and great snow, we're anticipating a positive response from New England skiers and riders."

Skiers and riders who purchase a Maine Pass will receive additional benefits, including retail discounts at the resorts and free or discounted skiing at Boyne USA resorts in the U.S. and Canada, including Big Sky, Mont., Brighton, Utah, and Crystal Mountain, Wash.

Sunday River and Sugarloaf/USA are both projected to open in mid-November and operate into April.
