The March 22nd issue of the “Boston Globe” contained a long article headlined “A water war over snow making’s toll.” Needless to say, it was written with, well, let’s just say it was written from a point of view. It was largely a sort of assembly of quotes from “experts” who viewed snowmaking with alarm. The Globe reporter was Dianne Dumanoski.
Sharp-eyed ski writer David Irons, however, remembered something he had read in the “Boston Herald.” It was a quote from one Dianne Dumanoski, participant in a conference on the environment.
“There is no such thing,” Ms Dumanoski was quoted as saying, “as objective reporting. I’ve become even more crafty about finding the voices to say the things I think are true. That’s my subversive mission.”
But not crafty enough, it seems, to keep quiet about her dirty little secret.
