Walk-in cooler
New from H Ski Products is the Arctic Air cooler, which will take over conventional cooling anytime the outside temperature drops below the desired walk-in cooler temperature. According to the designers, Arctic Air is fully automated and will extend the lifetime of the existing cooling compressor. It also eliminates food odor and acidic build-up by circulating fresh air in.

Sign carving machine
Kimball Machine Co introduces a sign carving machine for large commercial application. The K-90 machine is a precision, template driven machine designed to carve wood, metal and plastics. It accommodates multiple sign production and handles materials up to 56″ by unlimited length.
The K-90 comes with a floating carriage in which the router, a 1-1/2 hp with a 7/8″ “v” bit carbide tip, are attached to assure smooth operation and according to the manufacturers, the base is solidly built to avoid shimmy or wobble.

Fan gun
Areco North America will be entering the US market this spring with two fan-type snowmaking machines. The standard Areco comes with a 15 HP fan and the “Big Red” offers 20 HP. Both machines use the multiple nozzle approach (300 water, 20 air/water) and both include an extra 1/2 top ring consisting of 8 large water nozzles for production below 20 F.

Slope maintenance tractor
AEBI introduces a new line in its tractors, the Terratrac TT 80. This tractor is designed with a low center of gravity and wide stance for steep slopes and difficult ground conditions and can work on slopes of up to 60 % grade.
In addition to mowing, the TT 80 can also be used for turf renovation, overseeding, mulching and snow clearing (with a snow-plow or snow-thrower.) All vehicles come equipped with a standard front and rear 3-point hitch and PTO.

Anodizing, Inc. introduces a line of aluminum grouser bars for snow grooming vehicles. According to the manufacturers, the aluminum metal matrix is a high strength, wear-resistant aluminum composite alloy, made up of aluminum and ceramic particles. The metal matrix composites are reduced in weight, yet increased in stiffness.

Air purification system
RGF O3 Systems, Inc. introduces Turbozone, an air purification system, which is designed for commercial areas where smoke, food, mold and mildew odors are a problem. According to the manufacturer, the system produces high quality ozone with low electrical consumption, without creating an odor of its own. The system comes in three models which produce 5 ppm, 10 ppm and 20 ppm of ozone and will last up to 10,000 hours of use.

Reservoir heater
From Proheat comes a fluid reservoir heater which attaches to the outside of the oil pan and is designed to heat both the engine oil and engine block. Proheat claims the unit will heat the oil in the pan from -40 F to +60 F in one hour and the complete engine in 4 to 6 hours.
