“[Whitecap] is such a vibrant recreational resource for the surrounding region and one that has been a part of magical family memories for generations,” said Dziuban.

As his team readies the mountain for winter, said Dziuban, “We are excited to get back to our roots and will continue to expand and improve as we move forward to ensure the Whitecap recreational experience is a memorable one.”

Renovations are underway at the Whitecap Hotel and will continue through the winter, although the construction will not disrupt service, according to Dziuban. Additionally, the resort is looking to complete a new temporary base lodge structure, while also planning for a more permanent structure for the upcoming winter. A chimney fire destroyed the old lodge in 2019.

F&B outlets the Wine Hut and Hotel Café will be open this season and operate during regular hours. A new magic carpet and revamped beginner area will open this winter, and Whitecap is rolling out a new streamlined online day ticket program for 2022-23, as well as new affordable pass options.

Whitecap Mountains is a four-season resort with a vertical drop of 400 feet, and 43 available trails spread across 400 acres and three mountains, approximately four hours from Green Bay, Wis., and Minneapolis. According to Dziuban, it is one of the largest employers in Iron County.
