SAM Magazine—Denver, Colo., Oct. 21, 2025—The Ikon Pass will significantly expand its footprint in Asia for winter 2025-26, adding nine new ski destinations across Japan, China, and South Korea.
The additions include a mix of marquee and regional resorts. In Japan, Shiga Kogen, Mt.T, Myoko Suginohara, Furano, APPI, NEKOMA, and Zao Onsen join existing Ikon partners Niseko United and Arai Mountain Resort. The pass also adds Yunding Snow Park in China and Mona Yongpyong in South Korea—both Olympic venues known for their modern infrastructure.
Pass holders will have up to 7-days combined access at Shiga Kogen and 7-days each at all other new Asian destinations with no blackout dates, depending on pass type. The Ikon Pass now offers access to 72 destinations across five continents and 13 countries, including up to 77 total ski days in Asia.
“With marquee destinations on Hokkaido and in the Nagano Area joining Niseko United and Arai Mountain Resort in Japan, plus Olympic venues in Japan, China, and South Korea, Ikon Pass now offers extensive access for pass holders in even more of the best snow regions on the planet,” said Matt Bowers, senior vice president of marketing for Alterra Mountain Company.
