High-speed ticket machine
The device automaticly dates and codes each ticket when it is issued and can handle five different categories of tickets simultaneously. The unit also provides basic data for accounting purposes by issuing the first four and last four transaction numbers of each ticket category as a print-out for incorporation into daily revenue control sheets. With the high speed of the machines issuing units, 10 to 12 transactions can be completed in a minute. Each unit holds 1,500 6 in. × 2 in. tickets.

Circular ski rack
A circular ski rack that locks 10 pairs of skis and poles around two metal spheres is now being offered by Ski Valet, Inc. According to the manufacturer, the locking mechanism virtually eliminates mechanical difficulties caused by cold weather. The Ski Valet can also be adjusted for changing snow levels and lengths of skis.
The company reports that “the locks are precision engineered, weather proof and people proof.” Key rotation of 135 degrees with a 25c coin is required to activate the locking mechanism. A sign notifies the customer when the equipment is locked.
The rack is made of fiberglass and is available in red, green, blue, yellow and orange, as well as in a variety of custom colors.

Rx for skier accidents
Splinter-Pac, by Premier Products, is a unit of six splints plus a heavy wire foot support, all contained in a light, compact case for immediate treatment of skier accidents. It can be used on both an adult or child for either an arm or a leg. The splints are waterproof, plastic coated for year-round use, washable for reuse and need not be removed for diagnostic X-ray.
Because the splints are made of plastic-coated fiberboard they can be bent easily for quick application around the injured limb. The unit sells for $24, including case.

Snap-on pipe insulation
Thermazip, a snap-on insulated jacketing for pipes and ducts, now comes in a kit of precut shapes which snap in place around pipe ells to save insulating time and labor. No special cutting or fitting is involved, so unskilled and untrained personnel can apply it.
Maintenance, according to the manufacturer, is minimal as the insulation never requires painting and can be cleaned by simply wiping or hosing it down. The kits are available in sizes to fit standard piping.

All-season vehicle
The Recreational Products Division of the Lockley Manufacturing Company of New Castle, Pa. has introduced a low-priced, all-season vehicle capable of speeds up to 30 m.p.h. on land and 25 m.p.h. on snow.
Called the Buckaroo, the vehicle is powered by an 8-h.p., four-cycle engine that will power the vehicle up 35 degree slopes and at top speeds while loaded with three adults. A conversion kit allows the vehicle to travel on snow. The Buckaroo’s brakes are seven-inch band types acting on the rear drive axle and can bring the vehicle to a stop on a 50 degree downhill slope. The vehicle weighs 400 lb.
