Weather station

MesoTech introduces the TFV 4065 weather station with no moving parts. According to the designers, the station is not affected by snow or ice and there are no bearings or potentiometers to corrode or wear out. The station reports wind speed and direction, temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. Where access to sensors is difficult, such as on high towers or in remote locations, the station can be used because it needs no calibration or periodic maintenance. The station can be used to monitor wind gusts across lift lines, control snowmaking equipment, issue special weather warnings or display current conditions for customers and personnel.

Wireless lift pass

From All-Pine Marketing comes a lift pass system featuring wireless fasteners and a reinforced hang tag with a perforated coupon section that can be printed at the time of purchase. The system works with existing ticketing programs, so the only change is use of the fastener instead of wire wickets. The coupons can be used as an added revenue source, skier programs, etc., and the new fasteners cut down on litter because there is nothing to discard.

Sealant

American Sealants Company has just entered the scene with Amerseal, a sealant used for eliminating flats, saving fuel, extending tire life and reducing down times in all areas using tube and tubeless tires. According to the manufacturers, the sealant permanently seals punctures up to 1/4″ in diameter. The chemical stays fluid so it can immediately seal punctures and leaks, and will not freeze to minus 40 F. The liquid is installed through the valve system without deflating the tire.

Amerseal heavy duty tire sealant

Amerseal is available in 8, 16, 32 ounce bottles and 1, 5, 30 and 55 gallon containers.

Lenko fan gun

Also new for next season is a tower gun that automatically turns using wind-speed and wind direction to maximize production and minimize ice-ups, as well as a turn kit which, according to manufacturers, enables the machine to produce more snow and reduce grooming.

Finally, Lenko introduces a new cooling tower featuring high efficiency, low losses and modular design. The cooling tower is designed to operate with inlet temperatures from 35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
