SAM Magazine—Whistler, British Columbia, April 21, 2023—Vail Resorts has appointed Belinda Trembath as vice president and chief operating officer of Whistler Blackcomb, effective May 15. Trembath most recently served as vice president and general manager at Perisher, Australia.

I can't imagine a better leader to step into the COO role at Whistler Blackcomb to help guide the next chapter of such an iconic, influential, world-class resort.”  

Trembath has more than 30 years of experience in the ski industry and mountain operations, and she has been chair of the Australian Ski Areas Association since 2018. In 2006, Trembath was appointed VP and GM of Mt. Hotham in Victoria, Australia. In 2019, she also provided oversight for Falls Creek, Victoria. 

Trembath played a key leadership role in helping Perisher, Falls Creek, and Mt. Hotham—all owned by Vail Resorts—successfully navigate through the pandemic and the reopening of Australia’s borders. She also implemented strategic growth programs and led multiple technology advancements at the three resorts. In addition, she has been a member of several tourism and government advisory boards throughout her career.
