A 2-cycle gasoline engine powers this new brushcutter from Homelite, Div. Textron, Inc., 70 Riverdale Ave., Port Chester, N. Y. The manufacturer reports that the cutter will take saplings up to 5 in. in diameter with its 10 in. blade. Features include adjustable handle bars and a carrying harness. Shaft is 5 ft. long and total weight is 28 lbs.

Manufactured by Applied Electro Mechanics, 2350 Duke St., Alexandria, Va., the unit weights 10 lbs. and can be operated on any battery voltage from 12 to 32 watts. The 32 volt pack is required to attain the full 350 watts. Current requirements are 1 amp. with no signal out to 15 amps at full output. Manufacturer says that audio range is 10 miles with good intelligibility. Price is $975 FOB Alexandria.

ARPS Rotoflail Snow Blower (ARPS Corp., New Holstein, Wisc.) picks up snow and throws it up to 50 feet in any desired direction, clearing a 6½-ft. path with clog-free operation. Self-powered gasoline engine and direct drive minimizes power loss, permits operating speed independent of propelling vehicle. Six-hinged Rotoflail units pulverize snow. Impeller blades throw snow rather than blow it. Cutting edges are of heavy duty alloy steel; skid shoes adjustable; shell is of 12-gauge reinforced steel. Snow Blower will move continuously through 12-in. snow depth when used with 35 h.p. tractor. Choice of hitches or couplings available and options include directional loading chute. Available with power-take-off drive or engine-driven for use with most work vehicles.

Joy Manufacturing Co., Henry W. Oliver Bldg., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, advises that the cool, oil-free air produced by an airscrew compressor keeps down condensation in lines of snow-making systems.
