The Hermitage Club, an exclusive, private member-owned ski resort in Vermont’s Green Mountains, is seeking a Snow Surfaces Manager to lead snowmaking and surface operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional snow conditions and supporting world-class member experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and direct snowmaking and grooming operations
• Supervise, train, and schedule snow surfaces staff
• Monitor weather and adjust production strategies
• Maintain snowmaking systems, pumps, compressors, and guns
• Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and repairs
• Collaborate with Mountain Operations, Lift Operations, and Ski Patrol
• Promote safety, accountability, and high performance
• Year round trail and slope management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years snowmaking and grooming experience
• 1+ year supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong technical knowledge of snowmaking systems
• Proven team leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in winter conditions
• Comfortable operating snowmobiles and equipment
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
