SAM Magazine—Natick, Mass., June 27, 2022—SAM's twelfth Summer Ops Camp—an immersive, hands-on networking and educational event—is heading to Tremblant, Quebec, Sept. 7-9, 2022, for three days of learning about the serious business of summer fun. SOCTRemblantpngThis year’s camp curriculum will focus on developing a sustainable year-round business model that creates long-term balance for revenue and staffing by growing non-winter business through unique mountain experiences that attract a broader market of guests.

"Tremblant is thrilled to host the 2022 SAM Summer Ops Camp this fall and is looking forward to putting on a ‘fantastique’ show for everyone attending,” said Patrice Malo, Tremblant president and chief operating officer. “Tremblant has long been a leader as a four-season resort, and we are excited to have our colleagues experience it first-hand. The past couple of years have forced all of us to reevaluate our mountain resort models, and we welcome the opportunity to spend time with like-minded peers to share our successes, lessons learned, and future plans for developing a sustainable and premium guest experience in the non-winter months."

Campers will experience what Tremblant and other nearby attractions have to offer, from thrilling adventure activities to simple guest-experience enhancements, with insightful looks behind-the-scenes throughout. Pop-up talks, workshops, and sessions will explore a variety of topics, including the important changes that have occurred over the past two years, both in how ski areas operate and what consumers now expect.

"Tremblant and the surrounding area is a premier location for Summer Ops Camp attendees to study the four-season mountain resort model,” said SAM publisher Olivia Rowan. “Capped attendance and the hands-on format of camp ensure attendees interact on many levels with colleagues, experts, and manufacturers over the course of the three days. We’re looking forward to being back together after a two-year hiatus and to continuing our tradition of putting the spotlight on summer business."

The growing schedule of events currently includes exploring the Tonga Lumina night walk, an immersive sound and light experience by Moment Factory that leverages the natural mountain landscape to attract a broad and diverse year-round guest, and a visit to the new Treetop Walk Laurentides, a universally-accessible treetop walkway and observation tower opening in July that offers fun at-height for all abilities. Mountaintop dining, tours, product demos, and more are also already confirmed.

More activities will be added shortly, and registration is opening soon. Stay tuned to saminfo.com/summer-ops-camp for more info.
