SAM Magazine—Grand County, Colo., March 29, 2023—Nearly all 2022-23 Indy Pass alpine partner resorts—102 out of 105—have committed to the pass for the 2023-24 season. Two of the others, Mt. Hood Meadows and Mt. Ashland, Ore., are pending and expected to renew. The final resort, Snow Valley, Calif., was purchased by Alterra Mountain Company and is now part of the Ikon Pass.

The lists of allied and cross-country resorts will be published after the current Indy season ends on April 30.

Indy Pass founder Doug Fish said that the near-universal renewal list "sends a clear message that the Indy Revolution is alive and well. In fact, more than a dozen new resorts are already in the queue to join the coalition.” 

With the renewal process nearly complete, Fish said, “Our efforts will now shift to expansion opportunities in markets where the Indy Pass has room for more partners.” He predicted that the final list of Indy resorts will show "significant growth" in both the domestic and international markets.

In another change, the three percent service fee typically charged on all Indy Passes at checkout has been eliminated. However, all passholders will pay $10 for an RFID-enabled Indy Pass with a photo. This physical Indy Pass will include benefits such as direct-to-lift access at select Indy resorts, expedited lift ticket pick-up at all Indy resorts, and discounts on products and services from Indy Pass partners.

At present, sales of the 2023-24 Indy Pass are limited to previous passholders and those who joined a waitlist before March 23. However, pass sales open to the general public on April 1. At that time pricing for adult Base Pass will be $299, and for the adult Indy+ Pass, with no blackout days, $399. Prices are lower for kids, XC, and add-on passes to resorts' own season passes.

Indy Pass changed ownership in March when it was acquired by resort technology provider Entabeni Systems. Fish remains as leader of the pass.
