SAM Magazine—Montville, N.J., May 1, 2023—SNOW Partners named Frank DeBerry, former president of Crystal Mountain, Wash., and COO of Alterra Mountain Company’s four West Coast resorts, as its new president, effective June 1. Untitled design 72 New Jersey-based SNOW Partners is the parent company of growth and conversion program SNOW Operating, technology provider SnowCloud, ski resort Mountain Creek, and indoor ski facility Big SNOW American Dream.

“I have worked with Frank in some capacity at almost every step of my career, and I owe a lot of the way I look at our businesses to the time we spent working together over the years,” said Snow Partners CEO Joe Hession. “There is no one I trust more to join our team and help guide us into our next decade of growth.”

A 32-year ski industry veteran, DeBerry started his career as a lift operator at Mountain Creek, then Vernon Valley/Great Gorge, N.J. Over the course of his career, he has operated several resorts across the U.S., including Snowshoe Mountain, W.Va., and Mountain Creek in addition to Crystal Mountain.

“I’m proud to have played a part in Alterra’s formation and growth over the past five years, and it

will be exciting to watch their continued growth over the next five and beyond,” DeBerry said. “I can’t imagine a better move for me than joining the SNOW Partners team.
