Alajos Fiel Promoted to GM of Mad River Mountain

Fiel succeeds Larry Kuebler, who in May was named as senior director of Signature Clubs for Vail Resorts-owned Beaver Creek Resort and Vail Mountain, Colo., after a 22-month stint as the Mad River GM.   

Fiel brings many years of institutional knowledge to his new role, having worked at Mad River Mountain since 2009 when he joined the team as terrain park manager. "Al’s passion for Mad River Mountain, his love of skiing and snowboarding, and his deep roots in the community shine through brightly in everything he does,” said Tim Harris, VP of the Midwest Region.  

Fiel began his career in the ski industry in the terrain park department of Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Pa. At Mad River Mountain, he has led various aspects of mountain operations, including snowmaking, grooming, tubing, lift operations, parking, retail, and scanning.
