SAM Magazine—Kimberley, British Columbia, Nov. 10, 2023—Kimberley Alpine Resort named Christine Schultheis as its new general manager. HN 1110Schultheis, a charted professional in human resources with a degree in economics, joined parent company Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) in 2010 serving administrative roles in human resources, and most recently as director of people, culture, and occupational health and safety. 

“A ski industry veteran, Christine has a proven track record and will work hard to bring strategic and commercial leadership to Kimberley,” said John Shea, president and chief resorts officer at RCR. 

Schultheis said her passion for the industry started at a young age, having grown up on the south shores of Montreal in the community of St-Bruno-de-Montarville, with her home ski resort being Ski Saint-Bruno. 

“I am thrilled to be joining the dedicated team at Kimberley. I am excited to work alongside the incredible group and join the wonderful community,” Schultheis said. 

Schultheis and her family are avid outdoor enthusiasts. While skiing is a passion, they also enjoy mountain biking and cross-country skiing at the Kimberley Nordic Club. 

Kimberley Alpine Resort has more than 1,800 skiable acres across 80 named trails served by five lifts. The resort is scheduled to open for the 2023-24 winter season Dec. 15.
