SAM Magazine—Natick, Mass., April 6, 2026—Nominations are now open for the sixth annual Rise Up Challenge. Hosted by SAM and sponsored by Leitner-Poma of America (LPOA), the contest recognizes up-and-coming lift maintenance professionals and the teams that support them.

Six resorts will be selected to produce videos offering a behind-the-scenes look at lift maintenance operations, highlighting the strengths and potential of a rising lift mechanic and their team. The videos will be released in August, when viewers can watch and vote for their favorite.

The winning lift mechanic and crew will receive a $3,500 education grant, courtesy of LPOA.
