SAM Magazine--Vancouver, B.C., July 7, 2004--Intrawest has acquired an equity interest in the Abercrombie & Kent Group (A&K), a leading luxury adventure-travel company. The companies will offer a range of high-end travel, leisure and vacation experiences at destinations around the globe. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Abercrombie & Kent will tap Intrawest's customer relationship marketing systems to introduce A&K's vacations to Intrawest's customer base, as well as to promote A&K's products to a broader market. These products include expedition cruising in the Galapagos Islands, hiking on the Inca Trail in Peru, rafting in Costa Rica, African safaris, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tuscan villa stays, elephant trekking in Asia, and jet boating in New Zealand--all with luxury accommodations, professional and knowledgeable guides, and other insider perks.
