SAM Magazine--Boulder, Colo., April 21, 2004--Marc Peruzzi has been named editor-in-chief of Skiing Magazine. He replaces Perkins Miller, who was recently promoted to vice president, managing director of Mountain Sports Media, Skiing's parent company.

Peruzzi began with Skiing in 2002 as senior editor and served as acting executive editor for most of the 2003-04 publishing season. He was part of the team that earned the magazine its first National Magazine Award in General Excellence nomination. Prior to joining Skiing, Peruzzi was an associate editor at Outside Magazine. He has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Montana. He also has extensive experience in the resort world: a lifelong skier, he has worked as a ski instructor, ski ambassador and ski shop manager. \
