Judge Ryan Harris today ordered both PCMR and Talisker Land Holdings (PCMR's landlord) to sit down with a formal, neutral, third-party mediator to try to resolve a land battle that threatens to leave Park City, Utah, without its anchor resort for 2014/15. PCMR has said since the beginning that Talisker has refused to negotiate and simply won't rest until they take over the ski area. Today's hearing involved PCMR's attempt to stay the eviction order affirmed by Harris on May 21. Talisker and Vail Resorts wanted PCMR out in 60 days but the Judge issued a one-two punch with his ruling. 1) the eviction order stands, but 2) the 60-day timeclock won't start until after both sides mediate on August 15, 2014, and there's a hearing on August 27 regarding damages on both sides and rents owing.

The parties responded to the ruling:
