Nick Lemire has been promoted to the role of general manager for Bolton Valley. He previously served as director of guest experience and will now oversee general day-to-day operations and all departments at the family-owned ski area.
He is taking on the responsibilities of former vice president and COO Nathaniel Mathes, who has moved on to new opportunities and left Bolton Valley on good terms and in good hands for the future, according to director of sales and marketing Molly Coneybeer. Lemire will report to Bolton Valley president Lindsay DesLauriers.
Lemire first joined Bolton Valley in 2016 as the after-school program coordinator for the resort’s ski and ride program. He was promoted to ski and ride manager a year later, and in 2019 he was promoted again to serve as director of guest experience, overseeing all guest-facing departments. Lemire began his ski industry career at Okemo Mountain Resort, Vt.
“For many of us, Bolton Valley is much more than a ski resort,” said Lemire. “Bolton Valley has always been about more than skiing and riding. It’s the people, the community, and the experience of being here. I feel really grateful for the opportunity to help lead a mountain that means so much to so many people.”
Bolton Valley president Lindsay DesLauriers said Lemire “has demonstrated incredible leadership since joining Bolton Valley a decade ago. Over the years, he has consistently taken on more responsibility within the company and has been transformative at every step. I’m excited to see what he brings to this new role, and Bolton Valley is incredibly fortunate to have him leading our operation.”
As general manager, Lemire said he plans to focus on preserving the spirit of Bolton Valley while continuing to improve the experience for guests and employees and connect with the local community.
“We have an incredible team of dedicated people who care deeply about this mountain, and I’m excited to work alongside them as we build on the strong foundation already in place,” he said.
