SAM Magazine—Boyne Falls, Mich., Jan. 21, 2026—Boyne Forever FoundationBoyne Resorts has launched the Boyne Forever Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) public charity that will coordinate philanthropic giving and grantmaking across the company’s 13 North American properties.

The foundation will focus on three areas: environmental stewardship, community investment, and support for employees. Structured as a standalone public charity, the Boyne Forever Foundation consolidates philanthropic efforts that were previously managed at the individual resort level and is intended to create more consistent, year-over-year funding for local and national causes.

“The Boyne Forever Foundation is a strengthening of our commitment to the values that have always defined us by uniting the efforts of each resort into an organized mission,” said Stephen Kircher, chief executive officer of Boyne Resorts and president of the foundation’s board. “For nearly eight decades, our family has understood that stewarding these mountain communities, the land, and our people is both a privilege and a responsibility.”

The foundation will be funded through corporate sponsorships, employee donations, and community contributions. It is launching with financial support from PistenBully, its founding corporate partner.

“Our relationship with Boyne Resorts has always been about more than just equipment; it’s about shared values and a long-term commitment to mountain communities,” said Jeb Ellermeyer, vice president of sales and marketing for PistenBully. “Being the first partner to invest in the Boyne Forever Foundation is something we’re proud of.”

The foundation will be led by executive director Michelle Wein, assistant patrol director at Boyne Mountain, Mich. Wein said the foundation is designed to reflect shared values across Boyne’s geographically diverse portfolio while allowing each resort to support its local community.

“Each resort is unique, but we all share the same values and respect for the heritage sports, natural places, and mountain communities that have endured for generations,” Wein said.

The foundation’s first annual grant cycle will open in spring 2026, with grant recipients announced June 30, 2026. Employee hardship grants and requests for in-kind donations will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
