Linnea Hansen has been named the new president and COO of Washington’s Crystal Mountain, effective immediately. She will report to Alterra Mountain Company regional chief operating officer and executive vice president of the Western Mountain Division Ron Cohen.
“Linnea is a strong leader who deeply understands Crystal Mountain and has demonstrated her dedication to Crystal’s community and its people. I am confident Linnea is the right person to guide Crystal towards realizing its full potential,” said Cohen. “Her experience, authenticity, community presence, and collaborative approach make her the right choice to lead this special destination.”
Hansen joined Crystal Mountain in 2023 as vice president of marketing and sales. In that role, she was a key member of the senior leadership team, increased the resort’s focus on community engagement, the guest experience, employee engagement, and guided cross functional projects across the mountain.
Hansen has a background in hospitality and communications. Prior to joining Crystal Mountain, she was the vice president of brand marketing and communications for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. She has more than two decades of leadership experience across hospitality, consumer brands, global marketing, and operations, and holds an MBA from the Foster School of Business.
“I am honored to serve Crystal Mountain in this new capacity and work alongside the amazingly talented and dedicated Crystal Mountain team,” said Hansen. “This resort and its surrounding community are incredibly special, and I am committed to leading with integrity, strengthening our operational excellence, and ensuring that Crystal continues to inspire guests and employees for generations to come.”
Hansen succeeds Matthew Darbous, who assumed the role of president and COO in 2023 following longtime leader Frank DeBerry’s departure.
