SAM Magazine—DENVER, March 5, 2026—IkonPassAlterra Mountain Company’s 2026-27 Ikon Pass suite of products goes on sale March 12 with new partners, access, benefits, and numerous other changes.

The full Ikon Pass, which offers the least restrictive levels of access to 76 ski areas around the world, will start at US$1,349 for adults ages 23 and up; the Ikon Base Pass includes blackout dates and access to more than 70 ski areas and will start at US$924; and the Ikon Session Pass starts at US$299 for two, three, or four days total at select destinations.

“This season, Ikon Pass holders enjoyed an array of new and improved infrastructure and services around the Ikon Pass community, including 17 new lifts, three gondolas, terrain expansions, lodges and amenities, upgraded snowmaking, and one of the largest ski expansions in history at Deer Valley Resort in Utah,” said Matt Bowers, senior vice president, marketing, Alterra Mountain Company. “Winter 26/27 will bring new destinations to explore and new offerings that provide Ikon Pass holders with even more flexibility, allowing them to chase snow and outdoor adventure across 76 premier mountain destinations around the world.”

Granite Peak, Wis., Lutsen Mountains, Minn., and Snowriver Mountain Resort, Mich., have been added as partners for 2026-27 with seven days of access on Ikon Pass and five days on Ikon Base. Combined with the addition of Devil’s Head, Wis., as a “Bonus Mountain” with two days of access, the number of Midwest ski areas on the pass more than doubled. Tamarack, Idaho, is also a new “Bonus Mountain” partner for 2026-27.

Changes to the level of access for pass holders include unlimited access on the Ikon Base Pass to Alterra-owned Arapahoe Basin, Colo.; Snowmass in Colorado will offer five-day access on Ikon Base Pass with select blackout dates; and reservations are no longer needed for lift access at Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountain for full Ikon Pass holders (Ikon Base Pass only accesses Snowmass; no reservations are required).

There are a variety of new renewal rewards that returning pass holders can choose from, including up to $300 in “Mountain Credits” that can be used toward on-site purchases at select destinations, free gear rentals, hotel points, or a $100 credit and membership to backcountry.com.

The new “Squad Pack” aims to engage with Gen Zers by offering a $750 Ikon Base Pass ($199 off the regular price). It’s for anyone ages 23-28 and requires one person to gather four others in that age range and buy all five passes for the group.

Several other new benefits and savings have been added, such as savings on child passes with the purchase of an adult pass, cash refunds for unused passes, spring skiing access for new pass holders, travel discounts, discounts from various brands, and more.
