SAM Magazine—Henniker, N.H., July 14, 2025—In less than 24 hours, more than 120 students in career and technical education (CTE) programs around New Hampshire pre-registered for The. Pipeline Project’s first-ever Ski Career Exploration event, scheduled for Oct. 15 at Pats Peak, N.H.Pipeline Project 440x340 The event is designed to help students explore career options in the mountain resort industry, and The. Pipeline Project is seeking resort partners to help maximize the experience for attendees and capitalize on the recruiting opportunity.

“Demand has already outpaced capacity,” said Tiffany Whitcomb, founder of The. Pipeline Project, an organization that aims to bridge the gap between CTE students and ski areas to fill important roles in fields such as lift ops, lift maintenance, grooming, and snowmaking, adding that a spring event is already in the works to help meet the demand from students. “This event can’t happen without support from resorts and sponsors. We have the students—now we need speakers, members to network with them, and sponsors.”

Whitcomb said there are various ways resorts and industry suppliers can get involved with the event. Experienced personnel can volunteer to lead sessions, participate in Q&As, serve as a mock interviewer, or network with students during lunch. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. “Showcase your brand, support future talent, and be part of the solution to the ski industry’s workforce needs,” said Whitcomb.

The. Pipeline Project also offers an annual membership for ski industry partners, which supports the organization’s ski industry advocacy in schools, the development of ski-related curriculum, and ongoing career exploration efforts, as well as provides access to a pipeline of potential future employees.
