SAM Magazine—Tannersville, Pa., Oct. 21, 2025—Camelback Resort has appointed two veteran hospitality executives to lead the year-round Poconos destination.Camelback Resort VP and GM Jason BaysJason Bays Jason Bays will serve as vice president and general manager, providing strategic direction for the resort, and Olivier Marc Glattfelder will oversee all day-to-day and front and back of the house operations as resort manager.

“Jason and Olivier are a dynamic team, bringing an exceptional combination of leadership, vision and hands-on experience to the resort,” said Ian Pullan, senior vice president of Peregrine Hospitality, which manages the 560-acre resort. “Together, they will take Camelback Resort to even higher levels of excellence, driving performance across every area of the resort.”

A Pennsylvania native, Bays began his career as a teenage ski instructor and lifeguard at Camelback. He went on to become the director of aquatics and risk management for the resort. He has also served as the operations manager of Jay Peak Resort in Vermont, and was the COO and general manager of Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey. Most recently Bays oversaw hospitality properties in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania as a general manager at Great Wolf Resorts.

Glattfelder was most recently director of hotel operations for the Marriott Austin South. Among other roles, he was opening general manager of luxury hotel The Equestrian in Florida and general manager of the Hotel Granduca Austin. He spent a decade with Omni Hotels and Resorts in a variety of leadership roles, and has European hotel experience at Hotel Savoy Baur en Ville, Kulm Hotel, and Noga Hotel in Switzerland. A Zurich native, Glattfelder is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.

Their respective appointments, said Pullman, reflect Camelback’s strategic focus on operational excellence, hospitality innovation, and guest experiences. The resort has several winter capital improvements planned, including expanded snowmaking capabilities, upgraded lifts, and new and expanded dining and entertainment.
