SAM Magazine—Slinger, Wis., Sept. 24, 2025—Schmitz Brothers Resorts has hired longtime ski industry leader Greg Fisher as the new general manager of Little Switzerland ski area, effective immediately. Greg Fisher 

Fisher has 25 years of mountain resort experience, much of it in leadership roles. He most recently served for five years as general manager of Granite Peak, Wis., and for the last three years also served as chief marketing officer for Midwest Family Ski Resorts, which owns Granite Peak, Lutsen Mountains, Minn., and Snowriver, Mich. Fisher spent five years as vice president of marketing for Peak Resorts and its 17-ski-area portfolio until it was acquired by Vail Resorts in 2019. His previous experience also includes serving as general manager of Mad River Mountain, Ohio, and director of marketing and events at Mount Snow, Vt. 

“Little Switzerland has such a special place in Wisconsin’s ski community, and I’m excited to be part of this next chapter,” said Fisher. “I look forward to working alongside the talented Schmitz Brothers Resorts team to continue building on the resort’s strong traditions while also finding new ways to enhance the guest experience.”

As general manager, Fisher will oversee day-to-day operations at Little Switzerland, ensuring a continued focus on guest satisfaction, staff development, and operational excellence. He joins the leadership team of Schmitz Brothers Resorts, which also operates Nordic Mountain and Crystal Ridge in Wisconsin.

Throughout his career, Fisher has also been an officer on several industry, community, and regional boards of directors, including for the Midwest Ski Areas Association, the Central Wisconsin Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Mount Washington Valley (N.H.) Chamber of Commerce.
