Rose Ski Tahoe The resort has targeted a Nov. 8 opening date for skiing and riding, weather permitting, and a Thanksgiving start date for the tubing center.

Wildslide is the largest tubing operation on the West Coast, according to the resort, with 20 tubing lanes that are 750 feet in length. A dual conveyor lift serves the center, which also has its own 400-car parking lot, as it is located three-quarters of a mile from the main lodge entrance. Wildslide also has a new lodge and outdoor seating area that serves skiers and riders as well as tubers. The center will operate Friday-Sunday and holidays, starting at 8:30 a.m. Reservations will be offered in two-hour time blocks.

The largest part of the snowmaking expansion involves connecting to an additional well to increase the system's water supply, which will boost early-season production.

“With the investments that have been made this year, we’re excited to welcome new and returning guests back, and to offer them an exhilarating experience and some of the best, most consistent snow conditions in the region,” said Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing and sales director Mike Pierce.
