SAM Magazine--Salt Lake City, Utah, October 2, 2007--As of yesterday, October 1, the president of Doppelmayr CTEC, Jan Leonard has left his position.

Leonard has worked in the ropeway business for more than 35 years and oversaw the merger between Doppelmayr and Garaventa/CTEC in 2001. Leonard will continue his association with Doppelmayr CTEC and the industry as an independent ropeway consultant.

"There are so many other ideas, both at work and play, that I would like to pursue and this move will give me the opportunity to do them," says Leonard.

Replacing Leonard as president is Mark Bee, former executive VP of the company. Bee has 18 years of ropeway experience, first with Von Roll Tramways, and then as president of Doppelmayr USA until the merger.
