SAM Magazine—Natick, Mass., Feb. 21, 2019—The nomination period for the 2019 SAMMY Leadership Awards is now open. SAM invites members of the winter sports industry to nominate leaders who they believe deserve this recognition, and do it soon—nominations close March 13, 2019.

The SAMMY Leadership Awards honor individuals who, at mid-career, demonstrate the innovation, leadership, dedication, professionalism, and creativity to lead the mountain resort industry into the future. What makes this award truly special is that the candidates are nominated by you, their industry peers. Written nominations should detail what makes the nominee stand out as a leader who demonstrates the qualities mentioned above.

"Every year we look forward to honoring a small group of outstanding individuals who have earned the respect and admiration of their employees, peers, bosses, and the industry as a whole," said SAMpublisher Olivia Rowan. “Now in its 22nd year, the SAMMYs have honored more than 60 of our industry’s best, many of whom continue to guide and shape our future.”

The winners of the 2019 SAMMY Leadership Awards will be profiled online and in the May issue of SAM. They will be honored in a ceremony during the NSAA National Convention and Tradeshow in San Diego, Calif.
