SAM Magazine—Denver, Colo., April 14, 2020—Ikon Pass is doubling renewal discounts and extending spring promotions through May in response to the unprecedented challenges created by the coronavirus pandemic.IKON

“These are the days when we are particularly grateful for all those in the Ikon Pass community who share our passion and enthusiasm for winter, and we want to acknowledge our appreciation and gratitude by doubling 2020-21 renewal discounts and offering some of the lowest prices since we launched Ikon Pass,” said Erik Forsell, chief marketing officer, Alterra Mountain Company.

Spring promotional pass prices that were set to expire on April 22 have been extended through May 26. The renewal discounts have also been extended through the same period—and the discounts are doubled. Current Ikon passholders will now receive $200 instead of $100 off per pass, so prices will start at $799. Current Ikon Base passholders will receive $100 instead of $50 off per pass, with prices starting at $599. Passholders who renewed for the winter 2020-21 season before April 14 are entitled to the new discounts and will be contacted by Ikon Pass.

The Child Pass promotion, which allows passholders to purchase up to two discounted child passes for kids ages 5-12 with the purchase of an adult pass, has also been extended through May 26.

Ikon’s interest-free payment plan, previously available until April 22, will be available until August 1.

“The Ikon Pass and its 41 global destinations has always been about adventure, and during these challenging times, we hope to enable and inspire loyal and new Ikon Pass holders to look forward and plan their next adventure with us. We know that the seasons change, but the mountains and our Ikon Pass community will endure,” said Forsell.
