SAM Magazine—Portland, Ore., Aug. 24, 2022—Indy Pass has added two more resorts to its growing list of partners for the 2022-23 season: Mountain High and Dodge Ridge, Calif. Dodge Ridge Indy Dodge Ridge, Calif.The additions bring Indy Pass’s total alpine and Nordic resort partners to 106.

The partnerships are part of Indy’s strategy for growth in the West. “This off-season, we’ve worked very hard to increase our number of western partnerships, and Mountain High and Dodge Ridge are two outstanding mountains joining our family of resorts,” said Indy Pass founder Doug Fish. “The Indy Pass now has more West Coast United States resorts than all other passes combined.”

Indy offers access to China Peak, Dodge Ridge, Mountain High, Mt. Shasta Ski Park, and Snow Valley in California, as well as eleven other downhill ski areas in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and British Columbia. (While the other multi-property passes all calculate “West” a little differently, for reference, Epic Pass has four West Coast resorts, Mountain Collective has three, all in B.C., and Ikon Pass has 15, but that total includes its Idaho and Alberta destinations.)

Mountain High, located in Southern California’s San Gabriel Mountains, is roughly 90 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The resort has 1,600 feet of vertical, 230 skiable acres, and 54 trails served by 14 lifts.

Dodge Ridge is the San Francisco Bay Area’s closest resort. It has 67 trails on 862 acres and 1,600 vertical feet served by 12 lifts. Although known for its glade skiing and riding, the resort expects to increase access to its beginner and intermediate terrain this season with the addition of the Triple Nugget chairlift.

"As ski conglomerates continue to swallow up independent resorts, locally-owned California ski areas are becoming increasingly rare," said Karl Kapuscinski, owner of both Mountain High and Dodge Ridge. “We are proud to stand with the hundreds of family-run resorts across the country that offer affordable, uncrowded slopes and a refreshing alternative to the corporate model."

There will be no blackout dates at either mountain for Indy Pass holders. Indy Pass holders receive two days of skiing and riding at partner resorts and up to 50 percent off at Allied Resorts. Indy Pass pre-season pricing ends on Sept. 12, with the adult Base Pass starting at $299 for the 2022-23 season.
