SAM Magazine-Ishpeming, Mich., Apr. 7, 2010-The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame has extended the deadline for submitting nominations for the class of 2010 to Apr. 30. The change was made to accommodate athletes who competed in the 2010 Olympic Games, but the extension applies to all potential nominees.

Individuals nominated and elected to the Hall of Fame must have accomplishments at the highest level in skiing and snowboarding. This includes athletes, innovators and builders of American skiing and snowboarding who have made highly significant and lasting contributions to the growth of these sports. The Hall is located in Ishpeming, Mich., the historic birthplace of organized skiing in America.

Anyone can submit a nomination for review by the National Selection Committee. Nomination forms and other information can be found at www.skihall.com. \
