SAM Magazine—Broomfield, Colo., March 5, 2024—Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass suite for 2024-25 went on sale today, with the unrestricted Epic Pass launching at $982 and the Epic Local pass retailing for $731, new highs for the products and about an 8 percent increase from last year, when they were $909 and $676, respectively.Epic Pass Logo

The cost of the pass products has been climbing back up to the peak it reached during the pandemic-restricted 2020-21 season ($979 for the Epic Pass and $729 for the Epic Local) after Vail Resorts slashed pass prices by 20 percent ahead of the 2021-22 season ($783 for the Epic Pass and $583 for the Epic Local).

The suite line up remains the same, with the tiered Epic Day pass, military passes, and a variety of local passes, including the Tahoe Value and the Northeast Midweek passes, still available.

New for 2024-25 is the addition of Crans-Montana to several pass tiers. Vail Resorts entered into an agreement to acquire the Swiss resort in December 2023. It’s about two-and-a-half hours from central Switzerland’s Adermatt-Sedrun, which the company acquired in 2022.

The company is also expanding its mobile ticketing platform, currently available at its 36 U.S. resorts, to Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia. And Vail Resorts has reportedly improved its Buddy Ticket redemption process so that Buddy Ticket users now have direct-to-lift access with the My Epic app mobile ticket feature.

Other passholder benefits remain the same. Epic FlexPay, a zero-down, zero-interest deferred payment plan, is still available. So is the Epic Coverage refund policy, and the 20 percent passholder discount on F&B, lodging, ski school, rentals, and other amenities.
